Puerto Vallarta gets wind from February-June, experiencing a short and light windy season. The average wind speed here is only 15 knots, so bring bigger kites. The beaches here can get crowded, so there is some regulation.
There are specific launching and landing areas and kiteboarders must stay out behind the breakers once riding. There are waves here, but it is shallow and the breakers are about 100 feet from the shore line……..
