Get me outta here!

Rocky Point Beaches

Guide to Rocky Point Beaches

Are you thinking about taking a vacation? Once in a while, we all need some rest. Take some time off from work, find some interesting beaches – and simply relax. Or if you’re up for a bigger investment – maybe look into buying a vacation home? In case you definitely want to do something like this, we’ve got just the location for you – Rocky Point! Of course, there are a lot of choices out there, so you must be wondering, why Rocky Point? Well, one of the top reasons are its beaches and we’re here to enlighten you about the best Rocky Point beaches around!

Know what you want out of your vacation

When you’re looking for the best Rocky Point beaches, as with most things in life, it’s important to know exactly what you’re looking for. Think about it – different beaches can offer vastly different kinds of summer activities. And, while knowing what you want to experience is crucial on a vacation, it’s even more so when you want to buy a vacation home somewhere. So, before you hire a moving company like Move On Relocation Nashville to take you there, make sure you know exactly what you’re trying to find.

Las Conchas – a nice family beach!

For example – if you’re looking for a great family beach, Las Conchas is a great choice! If you’re already in Rocky Point, you’ll need to know a few landmarks in order to get around town easily. So, once you learn where Whale Hill is, you’ll be able to spot Las Conchas starting at the base of it. And that first section of the beach is available to the public – that’s where all of the fun barbecues are.

After you pass that part, you’ll see a large stretch of sand with small houses on the coast. Now, remember when we told you Las Conchas was perfect for families? Well, this is the part we were specifically talking about. At low tide, you can find all kinds of harmless but interesting sea life here. All kinds of octopuses, crabs and other creatures are here, so you can explore them with your children!

In Las Conchas, you’ll find all kinds of interesting sea life that’s safe to explore!

Sandy Beach – the best mainstream choice

Of course, wherever you go on vacation – there’s always that one place that most people go to. However, while the mainstream beach may not be the best idea in other places – the Sandy Beach in Rocky Point is an exception! Firstly, as we’ve mentioned – most of the tourists in Rocky Point hang out around here. Not only is this the largest beach in the area, but it’s also where most of the local resorts and hotels are. So, if you find yourself needing company, or wishing to meet new friends, all of this is more than possible at Sandy Beach.

Naturally, it was not named Sandy Beach for nothing. It’s the largest stretch of sand on the entire coastline of Rocky Point. Also, it’s quite shallow – which means that if you’re on vacation with children, you won’t have to worry too much about their safety. Unfortunately, there’s a flip side to this – if you’re an avid swimmer and diver, this probably isn’t the beach for you. On days without much wind, the waters remain shallow enough to impede serious swimming. But that doesn’t mean the biggest of Rocky Point Beaches lacks activities! Seeing as it’s the biggest tourist spot around, there are plenty of vendors selling interesting souvenirs here. And if you’re up for some adrenaline-pumping fun, you can rent awesome jet skis on the coastline!

Cholla Bay – one of the best Rocky Point beaches for relaxation

If you’re looking to buy a permanent vacation home somewhere, that means you’re probably looking to add some more fun to your life. On the other hand, this also has to be a place where you can relax. So, while a summer resort is okay for a short vacation, when you decide to move out of Springfield, for example, you want something more permanent. That’s why, among Rocky Point beaches, you want to choose the one which can offer some relaxation as well.

And that’s where Cholla Bay comes in perfectly! We’re practically talking about a residential area with lots of houses, which is great if you’re looking for real estate. But also, everyone has access to the beach here. Although, you should know – this isn’t your typical wide sandy beach. No – with Cholla Bay, what you get are many interesting rock formations. So, in all of Rocky Point, this is the place fisherman love the most; there’s some great fishing to be had on those rocks. Also, with this being a residential area – you’ve got all of the amenities you need out of your own neighborhood.

If you want to buy a vacation home – find a place where you can just relax!

Conclusion

As we’ve mentioned – when you’re looking for the finest Rocky Point beaches, it all really depends on your own preferences. If you want a short vacation and some great Rocky Point photos to show years down the line, find a good resort near Sandy Beach. On the other hand, if you want a place that’s perfect for a permanent vacation home, find a calmer, less tourist-riddled beach.

Moving to Florida

Do you think that relocation might be a good idea for you? Maybe you don’t have enough job opportunities in your home country? Or, perhaps – you want to retire somewhere nice? Lastly, at the end of the day – you may just be looking for a different way of life. Regardless of why people move to Florida, let us tell you right away – it’s definitely the right idea. But it’s not easy picking a place – you don’t know where you’ll fit in best. What you want to know about are good Florida cities for expats – and that’s precisely what we’d like to tell you!

How do you pick among the finest Florida cities for expats?

Sure, traveling around is all good, and you might be an expert at that yourself; but when you’re looking to settle down somewhere, that’s a completely different thing. After all, every sailor needs a home port – and so do you. So, if you’re not from around here – how do you determine what the top Florida cities for expats are? Generally, you need to think about a few things:

  • Living costs – While moving to Florida, make sure you don’t go overboard regarding your finances. No matter where you’re moving, you need to know that you’ll be able to afford your life there. And remember – this isn’t just a short vacation we’re talking about.
  • Real estate – Speaking of costs, how do you intend to handle your basic living arrangements? As in, where will you live? If you want to rent out a place, you’ll have to do some house-hunting; but if you’re willing to buy a home in Florida, then even more so.
  • Your lifestyle – Remember, at the end of the day, you want a place where you’ll be able to fit in best. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should expect to fit in instantly – but over time. So, pick a place that seems suitable for that.

North Miami Beach is a great idea

As we’ve mentioned – many people from outside the US decide to relocate to Florida at some point or another. Why? Well, it’s actually quite simple. While there are plenty of reasons for such a move, there is one that’s more present than others – a lifestyle change. Let’s face it – Florida offers a lot of wonderful things that life in other places doesn’t. And if you’re a fan of great beaches – for example, a move to North Miami Beach may be what you need.

You’ll have loads of fun here

Imagine – it doesn’t matter where you’re living in the North Miami Beach area; at any moment, some kind of amazing beach is just a short drive away. And you don’t really have to wonder about the weather either – at most times, it will be inclined towards fun summer activities! This kind of life truly makes North Miami Beach one of the greatest Florida cities for expats. Because no matter what you do for a living or how stressful your job is, here, you’ll be able to relax at some point!

If you value luxury – Fort Lauderdale is the place to be

Of course, not everyone looks for top Florida cities for expats in order to relax. And we fully acknowledge that – not everyone is the same. That’s precisely why you want to explore all of your options before deciding on a place. For example – if you’re a fun-loving type, South Florida is a perfect place for your new home, truly. This area of Florida is perfectly suited for all kinds of pumped-up activities, both during the day and the night; and Fort Lauderdale is the frontrunner here.

Do you want to participate in amazing, adrenaline-filled activities, and all of them on the beach or in the water? Then this is definitely the place for you. And once the sun sets, you shouldn’t expect Fort Lauderdale to settle down. In reality, the city’s astounding promenade offers countless night-time activities for all kinds of people. Are you the type for upscale, pricey restaurants? If fancy eating is what you find fun, then this is the place to be. Also, if you’re looking for some of the most amazing bars and pubs in all of Florida, you won’t be disappointed in Fort Lauderdale.

Miami is an obvious choice – but still a good one

Lastly, we should turn to the place you might’ve thought we’d forgotten – Miami itself. The crown jewel among the finest Florida cities for expats, Miami is truly the place which has it all. First of all, you should know – if you decide on moving to Miami, the city won’t have you wanting for anything.

Obviously, if you like great beaches and other types of fun – you’ll find plenty of these around. But even more importantly – Miami has many great career opportunities for everyone as well. So you should stop thinking about Miami as a place to find vacation rentals – and start thinking of it as a home. Really, if you’re looking for a place in Florida to settle down as an expat – Miami is the most obvious choice.

Moving to Rocky Point – What You Should Know

Moving to Rocky Point – What Should You Know?

Welcome to Puerto Peñasco, better known as Rocky Point.  A resort in Rocky Point – part of the tips to know before moving to Rocky Point

Rocky Point, or Puerto Peñasco as it’s known in Mexico, is a city located in northern Mexico, on the northern coast of the Sea of Cortez/Gulf of California. As such, it is engulfed by a very dry and hot climate, with the average high temperatures reaching  35 degrees C (around 96 F) during the July / August period. During the winter period, the temperatures rarely go below the low average of 7 degrees C (around 45 F). This makes it a prime place for people who don’t like cold weather and are accustomed to living in warmer regions. Read on for some tips on moving to Rocky Point.

Location

As previously stated – Rocky Point is located just north of the Gulf of California. Namely, it is about 100 kilometers away from Arizona. Therefore, it takes about an hour to travel the distance to the nearest US state. This makes it an excellent choice for a tourist resort. Not only that, but for having vacation homes as well. However, you can still opt to move there permanently if you decide to live in a place where the cultural change can affect you positively. It is, unfortunately, not as close to the country’s capital (it is approximately a 26-hour drive from Mexico City), but taking a plane shouldn’t be an issue (from the Mexicali International Airport – a 3-hour drive away from Rocky Point).

With a location like this – Rocky Point has all the excellent components of an ideal city. Very close proximity to sea and the US, warm climate, and a very tropical-looking seaside. After you’ve found a location to settle within the city – the only remaining question is – why Rocky Point?

What to Know When Moving to Rocky Point

One of the first points that need to be brought to attention is that you need to get acquainted with the travel documentation. US citizens do not need a Visa to travel to Mexico, if the stay is up to 180 days. Otherwise, you will need a Visa for staying longer as a resident in Mexico. Be sure to arrange the needed documentation and to have it stamped by the dedicated government offices. You will need to make sure your passport and visa are valid and that the travel documentation is complete. If you are planning to work in Mexico as well, you will also need to make sure that you have the proper documents for that, like the permits if they are required.

Activities to Enjoy
When you come to Rocky Point, you will notice how it has beaches, hotels and swimming pools like those from the world’s best travel magazines – all being a perfect, irresistible eye candy. With the sandy beaches that are perfect for kids to play on to crystal clear water of the Pacific Ocean, Rocky Point is definitely a place to enjoy. The city’s residents relax with activities such as swimming, biking (with the city’s excellent bike network), water and jet skiing, fishing, and can even go to movie theaters, local museums and much more.

Moving Tips

Once you’ve finally decided that Rocky Point is the place for you and your family – it is time to plan the moving part.

Namely – one of the things to have in mind is that you may definitely need assistance with moving all the items from your previous to your new home. There are a lot of different movers for hire, each offering their own relocation, insurance and even packing services. Therefore, you will need to properly research what each moving company has to offer.

Each US state usually has at least some companies that provide international moving services. So, for instance, when moving overseas from Miami, you may want to check what the best companies for moving out of the US are.

Do note that not all companies provide insurance services – so you might end up having to hire a separate company just for that. Having your precious items damaged is the last thing you’d want, especially when moving internationally. Some, however, offer some other services like careful and mindful handling of fragile items or those that are antique. Others, on the other hand, also offer private storage units for rent. In such a case – it may be smart to have a small investment in a temporary storage unit where you might store the items you are not sure what to do with. In which case – perhaps, one of the better options would a company like Orange Movers Miami.

As a last pro-tip, make sure you declutter your home before you move. This way, your relocation will be much easier and more painless, placing much less strain on your budget in the long run.

After Relocating

As soon as you’ve relocated – it’s time to unpack and unwind, and get to know Mexico. One of the first things that may seem natural would be to learn Spanish, if you don’t speak it already. As a primary and official language in Mexico, Spanish is a definite must in this day and age. This way, you will be having a much easier time understanding the locals and articulating what you need to someone who doesn’t speak English. There are plenty of schools that teach Spanish – so you might want to enroll in one to get you started.

Moreover, should any unwanted injuries occur after you move to Mexico, feel free to browse through the available clinics to better know where you can obtain first aid.

Additionally, feel free to get to know the people. Mexican people like to take it easy. While American people, the majority at least, got used to much faster living, jumping from meeting to meeting, Mexican people tend to take it much slower. Have a little chat first, talk about some non-important things. Then, get down to business.

To sum up:

  1. Evaluate if Rocky Point is the right place for you; obviously – if you are reading this – you have pretty much already decided that it is.
  2. Find a suitable location to settle in the city.
  3. Hire reputable moving and insurance companies with the services that you need.
  4. Declutter your home, jot down a checklist of tasks to do.
  5. Meet Rocky Point and the Mexican people in person.

Verdict

After you have gone through the above points and topics, you shouldn’t have any issues knowing what you can expect when moving to the city of Rocky Point. Once you finally settle in, get ready to embrace a new culture and a place that’s brimming with new activities – just waiting to be experienced!

Moving to Rocky Point

Have you ever thought about moving to or visiting Rocky Point? No? Well, you should. This little piece of Heaven on Earth has a lot to offer and will meet all your needs. No matter what they are. Ready to give Rocky Point a chance? Keep on reading, and learn why you should at least visit it. But, once you do – you will want to move there. Just saying!

A bit about Rocky Point

Rocky Point or Puerto Peñasco, as many people call it, is one of the most popular Mexican tourist destinations. And for a good reason. One of them being that it is the closest beach to cities such as Tucson and Phoenix. And if you live in one of them, why not visit this heaven on Earth at least once in your life? It will surprise you. We promise! Rocky Point is located between the majestic sea of Cortes and the Sonoran Desert, and if you are someone who enjoys natural beauties – why wait? The largest active dune field, Great Altar Desert, volcanic shields with lava flows, giant craters… They are just the beginning of it all!

Rocky Point is about 60 miles from USA border but it is declared to be a part of border ‘’free zone’’. What does that mean to you? Well, you will be able to visit it without having to obtain a vehicle permit. Apart from being so close to the USA, this town attracts visitors from California, Nevada, and Arizona for many other reasons. One of them is fishing. If you are ready to put a stop to everyday stress and rush, you should definitely take some time off and come to relax. Sit back in your chair and start fishing. There is no need for all that anxiety. Not when you visit Rocky Point.

Living in Rocky Point

No matter how old you are or what your interests are – Rocky Point is always the right choice. Living in it is not only fun but also affordable. And if you are a young professional looking to work from home (or from the beach perhaps), why not move here? It is quite close to the USA and once you get nostalgic you will be able to visit your family with ease. But, trust us, you won’t have to. Everyone will want to come and visit you.

You don’t have to be young to live here. Rocky Point is diverse and welcomes everybody. Do you want to retire here? Good! It is a great choice. Enjoy your freedom!

How to move?

Moving isn’t easy. No matter how many times you did it before. It is complicated and time-consuming. And you will need all the help you can get. But, first, you will have to find a house for yourself. Give it some time and thought, and you will find a place to call your own sooner than you think.

Make a plan

Making a solid strategy is a must. It will make this whole process so much easier on you. So, get a notebook and start writing everything down. There are many things you will have to consider, and the sooner you start preparing, the better. You can even make a moving checklist or install an app on your phone. Do whatever you need to do in order to plan and prepare for your relocation properly.

Find a mover that can help

If you decide to start over in Rocky Point, find the right mover on time and make relocation easy. A reliable mover will take care of relocation for you, and you will be able to enjoy your new start with a smile on your face. And that is the main goal – enjoying life. Isn’t it?

Gather packing supplies

Your safety and wellbeing should always come first. No matter what. But, when you decide to move to Rocky Point, you won’t have to think only about your safety. Or the safety of your family. No. You will have to think about your belongings as well. Do you know how to transport your belongings to Rocky Point in a safe manner? Let us give you a hint. You will need some packing supplies. Try to find some before your moving day comes close and save yourself the trouble. That is, if you want to move stress and hassle-free. You can never know exactly how many boxes you might need, and starting early can prevent many troubles.

Packing

Start by sorting your belongings. Get rid of old items that you don’t use or need anymore. You can sell, donate or give away some of them. It is really your choice. But, keep in mind – the less you have to move, the easier relocation will be.

Packing can be quite hard, and if it seems like too much, you should find someone who can help you prepare your belongings for the safe transport. Your mover can be the right person for the job, so ask him if he offers that service before you start looking somewhere else.

Say goodbye

Before you leave for Rocky Point, make sure you say your goodbyes. Don’t forget about the people you love. Have a nice get-together and create a few new memories. Arrange for them to come and visit you once you relocate. Don’t be shy to ask – they will want to. Share some memories, remember the good old times and enjoy yourselves. And once you start feeling nostalgic, remember – your friends are just a call away!

Sonora Driver License Rocky Point Cruz Roja

I made the plunge to get my Sonora driver license. It’s a process for sure, start out early and bring a lunch!

First go to the fiscal dept to get the application.

First stop is the Cruz Roja. SIDE NOTE: What I discovered was this: Monday through Friday from 10am to 1:30pm, they have a doctor there for consulting, so if you have an urgent need or just want a consult, they charge 100 to 200 pesos ($6 to $12) based on ability to pay and there is someone that translates. The doctor and Cruz Roja splits the fee.

They offer orthopedic braces etc for a donation, then you can return them. Irma is the director and you see her for the driver license inspection. She weighs you, gets your height, has you read the eye exam, sees if you look fit to drive, then stamps the document. She is very sweet but take your translator if you need to. Fill in the blanks as much as possible, see mine below.

  1. First you start out with the fiscal dept to get your application
  2. Next go to Cruz Roja on Freemont, hand it to her, she knows what to do. She stamps it. Cost is 250 pesos approx, she gives your a letter.
  3. Next you go to the police station to get his stamp, his cost is approx 250 pesos also
  4. Next you go back to the Fiscal dept to pay, give them all your papers, bring copies (your passport, MX residence card, light bill if your name is on it. If your name is not on the CFE bill, you need a copy of your lease OR bank statement, showing your name and address, they take photo, pay them for how many years you want, then you are handed your license in 5 minutes!

Buying Property in Mexico

Buying a house in Mexico – How and why

Buying a house in Mexico requires an extensive amount of research, planning, and preparation. Buying property in Mexico means you need to hire professionals who can help you with the property transfer in Mexico.

Although the prices in some areas in Mexico have risen in recent years, you can find and buy property for sale in Mexico for a good price. Mexico properties are mostly cheaper than properties in the US and Europe.

So, if you are moving from New York to buy a house in Mexico, you should consider hiring professionals to help you. An international move is quite a difficult thing to do. Start with preparations as soon as possible, because there is so much to do.

Hiring international New York movers for your Mexico relocation would probably be the best thing to do.  An experienced moving company will help you with your move (handling crossing the border, which is probably the toughest part of the relocation, because of the paperwork), making it smooth and easy. Just the way a relocation to Mexico should be.

How difficult is the property purchase process in Mexico?

There is a system in Mexico for property purchases by foreigners. In the past, foreigners could purchase real estate anywhere in Mexico except the restricted zone. But, today, Foreign Investment Law in Mexico allows foreigners to purchase real estate within the restricted zone.

When you decide to buy a house in Mexico, you can consider hiring a Mexico real estate agent that lists properties for sale. When real estate agents find you a property to buy, you can negotiate the sales price. Then, you need to obtain a permit to buy the property from the foreign secretary’s office.

If you are buying a house in Mexico, as a foreigner you can buy it through a bank trust. The closing coordinator will help you with checking the ownership and insurance and verifying if the property is free of liens. The trust that is created is good for 50 years. With this document, you are ensured that you (the buyer) are the beneficiary of that trust. It is not an asset of the bank, and the government cannot deprive you of your property ownership.

There is another way to purchase property in Mexico. You can do it through a Mexican corporation. They are allowed to buy Mexican property anywhere in the country, but they have to pay higher utility fees. It is a rule for all commercial properties. But, if you want to buy a house in Mexico, you should know that you can buy a residential real estate, but only if you want to rent it. You cannot buy a residential real estate through a Mexican corporation in order to live there.

The Most important steps during a house buying in Mexico

  • The most important tip when buying a house in Mexico, in addition to finding a licensed real estate agent, is to hire a lawyer to help you with each step of the purchasing process. In case you intend to hire a real estate agent, the agent should have its own team of attorneys, notaries, closing coordinators etc. So choosing a real estate professional wisely, you are making sure to have all these issues solved in advance.

Other important steps are (the closing coordinator takes care of all the following steps, but we want to give you an insight of what is to be done):

  • An initial written agreement to sell/buy. Like we mentioned, this agreement has the details about the house price and the deadlines for purchasing process.
  • As a foreign buyer, you need to get a permission from the foreign secretary’s office to buy real estate in Mexico.
  • A closing coordinator checks the seller’s property deeds.
  • The official documentation should be given to the notary. This is also a must for a seller. Both of you need to provide your IDs, birth certificates, etc. As we said, the closing coordinator will take care of this and let you know what to prepare.
  • The seller also needs to provide the original property deed, recent tax receipts, and proof that he/she paid all of the utility bills.
  • The seller pays capital gains tax on the property purchase. A closing coordinator will work a strategy with the Notario, to lower the taxes as much as possible.
  • The final payment for your Mexico house is conducted when the property deed is signed over to you at the notary’s office.
  • You can buy a house in Mexico by cash, seller financing, developer financing or through a mortgage broker. The escrow company will give instructions how to wire the money into the escrow account. The closing coordinator will instruct the escrow company to disburse funds at closing.
  • You need to pay the notary’s fees as well as any closing costs during the buying process.

Costs of buying a house in Mexico

Besides the price of the house, there are other expenses. Some of them are covered by the buyer, the others are the seller’s expense.

The Mexico real estate buyer pays:

  • Notary costs
  • Acquisition tax
  • Registration fees
  • Escrow fees (safety for money and used for disbursements)

* A closing coordinator will provide a total estimate of closing costs before the sale goes under contract. The buyer and the seller will approve their costs before moving forward.

The Mexico real estate seller pays:

  • Real estate agent fees plus IVA taxes
  • Capital gains tax

Beside your licensed real estate agent and attorney/closing coordinator, the most important person in your house buying in Mexico is the public notary. A licensed public notary is the main part of all real estate transactions in Mexico.

The closing coordinator/attorney will ensure that all documents and permits are in order. They also check if the property has liens on the land, or doesn’t have building permits, tax registers, and any land taxes and utilities not paid.

Also, if the property is owned by multiple owners, all the owners who gave permission to sell are checked. So, it is really important that you provide all the purchasing documents to the closing coordinator for certification. Never rely on words and documents which are not valid.

A closing coordinator/attorney handles getting  permission from the foreign secretary’s office for buying real estate in Mexico.

Places to buy a house in Mexico

If you decide to move and buy a house in Mexico, there are many places in Mexico where you can find your new home and peace. There are also places where you can get good deal when buying Mexico real estate. Mexico has lots of great real estate opportunities. Buying a house in Mexico is possible in the big cities but also in the beach resort areas in Cabo, Baja, Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), the Mayan Riviera, Mazatlan, Cancun etc.

You can buy a house in Mexico for a second property, for vacation purposes, or you can own a house for your permanent residence or enjoy as an income producing property.

So, in Mexico you can find houses for all cases in few great places to live:

The reasons to buy a house in Mexico

When you make a decision to buy a house in Mexico you should know that the rules can be different than those you are used to.

It is never a good idea to buy real estate unless you understand all of the things and rules for buying a house in Mexico.  So, before you start searching, learn what to expect and most importantly – hire a real estate agent in Mexico.

There are many reasons to buy a property in Mexico. But, all of them come down to a personal choice.

Buying a house in Mexico always depends on individual circumstances: If you want a house for living or you want a property investment with rental income or place to stay on holiday when you visit, whatever you choose, best wishes in your search.

Rocky Point around town Interesting photos

A few months ago, I wrote a blog and posted over 40 photos of Rocky Point stop signs and Rocky Point trees .  I continue to encounter other things, could be weird, odd, funny, interesting,  thought provoking, things that make our city special. I bought a carton of eggs the other day, they are at Sinaloa Fruteria and 30 to a pack and not refrigerated, which is not a problem. I always say I like my eggs fresh with feathers and other things stuck to the shell. Those other things protect the egg from intruding bacteria believe it or not. This one egg had the largest feather so I had to take a photo and add to my “odd” collection of photos.

The dog with the red shirt, I took that photo when I first moved here in 2006, he was a happy dog, a block from Burrito Express, and was in May so it wasn’t too hot yet for him to be dressed. The dog on the roof is not too common here, but it is very common in Puerto Vallarta, when I lived there I didn’t take any photos. The dogs on their back were in my friend’s house, her dogs were just resting, looks funny. Lazy bums.

On Blvd Freemont, as I was driving, I saw this tiny car with a tiny boat, so cute. At the border in Lukeville in front of the post office, a sign was posted a few months ago, no explanation needed.

You will see trucks carrying anything for sale, in this case there was one selling flamingos and the other with partial mannequin bodies.

The sewer drain cover in front of my house is made of plastic and until the city came to fix it, a neighbor put up the stick and plastic bag to warn drivers. This is the same hole a dog was rescued from, video I took of the fire dept rescuing the dog, with the neighborhood dogs watching, then greeting him when he got free: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQR3p9Pq648

This is a dog obeying the rules, not entering Super Ley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTR9ebLTXPI

My favorite is the yellow sign “don’t throw out your tires here”

Another favorite is the sign in the Malecon when no alcoholic drinks allowed, LOL, love the translation.

I was having a burger at Eric’s burger on Calle 13 last month, and this little girl sat on the saddle, so cute.

The jet ski photo, I couldn’t get the whole thing. It was a truck, pulling the trailer with 2 jet skis, then another 2 jet skis, then a boat with the banana boat on top of that.

Now the truck with the big tire. At the entrance of the Lopez Acevez community I saw a big tire, then we met the Ejido president Pancho, every time he drives up and down the road, he hooks up the tire and drags it to keeps road clear and flat. The little church structure was also in this community and in an owner’s backyard.

Was stopped at the RR tracks yesterday, the train stopped in front of me, apparently had issues with the train car in front of me, the workers were checking on it. Took 20 minutes, but I am patient. As the guy stepped from one car to the next, I got the cool shot mid air.

The 911 sign was at Sonoyta, “Tanks”!!

Beautiful Home at the Beach and Open House-Rocky Point Mexico

WOW!!! I attended an open house last night to view a home at the Costa Diamante gated community. OMG!!! This home is spectacular, I took several photos of the event. It is a brand new listing not mine, but I would love to find a buyer for the wonderful  agent and their owner/seller client. A gorgeous custom built home at a fabulous price, and was so warm and cozy and what I can really say is “eye candy”!! Every time I turn around I find more exquisite details, too many to mention here. It’s best to view the listing and see the 62 photos. See the listing here or click the photo:

Rocky Point Stop Signs

Stop signs of Rocky Point. What a fun project to take photos of stops signs today while I was out doing errands.
I thought of this idea a few months ago and decided since I had errands and appointments today, I would get a few shots from my car while out on the streets. Some of them you may recognize, some you cannot even see until you get right on top of them since they are hidden behind a tree or a parked car. Some are placed on telephone poles, some are stand alone, some are higher and some are way low which makes them hard to see. Some don’t have “ALTO” on them. Be on the lookout for unique signs as you are on the streets in Puerto Peñasco, Rocky Point Mexico. I have a favorite. Downtown, on the corner where Telmex and Rocky Imports is. Alot going on in that photo. The Telmex tower great landmark, bicycles locked to the pole, The man selling breakfast tamales from his ice chest, the Green and Blue Tec-Med trash dumpster,
A street sign with both names, and the blue wheelchair ramp, and the unique thing, an available
parking space! When you see one that looks like it has a dog house, at a closer look, it is an altar for someone who may have been killed in a traffic accident on that corner. There are flowers and a candle inside. I had to do a double take to catch that.
