Wall Street Journal and NAR posted this article,
And it turns out that, the colder the temperature, the more house hunters seek out warm-weather locales like Miami and Phoenix, says Jed Kolko, chief economist and head of analytics at real-estate website Trulia.
Searches for warm vacation areas increased 5.5%, more than twice as much as the
nationwide increase. “Vacation areas have more second homes, so when the weather
gets colder, people search for homes not only for where they might move to, but
even more, for where they might vacation,” ……This makes sense why I (Robin) have been receiving more calls recently about Rocky Point real estate for sale, now that we have 75 degree weather, in January, the cruise ship home port will increase values, we have already seen price increases, we are 3.5 hr drive to Phoenix or Tucson, this makes sense! The photo above is the home port construction.
