Puerto Vallarta Farmers Market

I usually work on all Saturdays at the real estate office, and never get to go see the Farmers Markets, but yesterday I was not on the schedule so I decided to go along with my new friend Beverly, and my dog Joaquina (Wa-Keena). It was a beautiful Puerto Vallarta spring day and I was so happy to be out, and enjoying all the sights and sounds of the street, the vendors, that I forgot to take pictures! I don’t know if next Saturday the market will be open, but I will go again. The office is closed for Semana Santa for a few days, so hopefully the markets are opened and I promise to take photos. Before I got to the markets, I was on the street where the market used to be on, and I was mesmerized by the tile work on the wall of the school. It looked very recent, and Beverly said it was. She is from Canada and comes here every year and she gets on the streets and learns what is going on, she found that Natasha (Natasha had the Ciabatta bakery and coffee shop across from my office) had been commissioned to create this wall of mosaic  tiles, and even mirrored tiles. She had volunteers to help, and I wish I saw this in progress, would have made for a great story. I’m sure it is somewhere online. Natasha also had a table set up selling loaves of bread from her bakery. She was selling them  fast! Did I get a photo? No! Next time I will.

On my way I took this photo of the tree in bloom, was very beautiful. The tiles look ok in these photos, but you must see them in person to see the beauty and feel the creativity.
