Mexican Immigration Laws Updates

On November 9, 2012 Mexico’s new immigration law (passed in May 2011) came into legal effect. Since that date, the country’s National Immigration Institute (INM), the body charged with implementing the law, began processing visa applications using the new rules.migracion-de-mexico-logo-290-x-290

If you are visiting Mexico for a vacation or short trip, the new rules have no discernible effect on you. However, if you plan to reside in Mexico—temporarily or permanently—you will be affected by the changes
