Did you know about the Children of the Dump in Puerto Vallarta?
I met Mike Parker and his designer, Antonio, at Que Pasa tonight. I learned about his program where he is spearheading the building of free homes for the childern of the dump and their families, requiring they help build the homes and keep the kids in school. If the childeren stay in school, then the title will be given to the parents.  As I read through the website I discovered that Puerto isVallarta is a sister city to Tacoma, where Mike had previously been the Mayor! It as a pleasure to meet him and Antonio. They have thousands of people that are helping with donations and can always use more. We talked about Karen the school bus monitor that has almost a million dollars raised for her and with the national attention of the media, millions of people are visiting the donation website. I asked Mike if he would be willing to appear on the Today Show or Good Morning America, he said Sure! I am putting a call out there now, that if anyone reading this has any influence for Mike to appear on US National TV, please make it so.
