American Tourism to Mexico Up More Than 5 Percent Despite Travel Warnings  

It would seem many are not heeding travel warnings from U.S. officials, as Mexican tourism officials say the number of U.S. travelers to the country is up.

According to Mexico’s Tourism Department, travel to the Mexico rose 5.3 percent between January and April. A Monday announcement from the department states that of the more than 4 million tourists who visited Mexico during those months, more than half of them were Americans.
